Hello my Nice Friends,
This is Bart - your Norway-visiting Blogger. Thank you so much for the survival tips! I will definitely use them on my next outdoor adventure! I also loved reading all about your Smartboard trip to the desert. I especially enjoyed learning all about the ostrich. I did not know it grew to be so tall. I did know that they can be a bit mean if you approach them near their nests!
I had a neat weekend! Oslo was a nifty city. It is the capital of Norway. I learned many wonderful things about the Norwegians and their land. Did you know Norway has a nautical history? Many historians think that the Vikings came from Norway.
The Vikings lived a long time ago. They were very good ship builders and fierce warriors. They loved to sail and explore new lands. They attacked many smaller civilizations and villages on the coast. People were terrified of the Vikings. They had no mercy for their prisoners.
One of the most famous Vikings was Eric the Red. He was known for his bright red hair. Some people think that the Vikings were the first people to discover America long, long ago. Check out this link for some real neat information about the Vikings. The site is written just for kids like you!
I can’t wait to read your next blog. Tell me nine things that happened to you over the weekend!
I’m off to my next destination. Hmmm, I’ll give you a clue. It’s a city in Spain!
Your Note-taking, Nap-loving Friend,
Bart

Hey Bart,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to share a neat new picture of Conrad from the Newberry Watermelon Festival this past weekend.
He had fun on the swings and the Scrambler, but I suppose S day has already sailed into the sunset. See you soon, maybe on M day.
