Hello new friends,
This is Bart - your adventurous Traveling Blogger. Today I am on safari in a city in Western Africa called Yaounde. Check out the map link.
That’s great that you are exploring strange and wonderful new worlds with your Smart Board. I love studying habitats and different animals and their life cycles. Zebras are one of my favorites.
Did you know that all of the animals in Africa have habitats? One of the habitats is called a savanna. Savannas are grasslands, with very few trees, but lots of grass. Savannas have a wet season and a dry season, rather than hot and cold seasons. The environment of the savanna is very different from the rainforest and deserts that are found in other parts of Africa. It is also very different from anything in the United States. Here’s what a savanna looks like: Picture. Here’s another one: Picture.
I had a chance to travel through a savanna. Check out some pictures from my safari Slideshow.
One of my safari friends was telling me about these see-through fish. I am on a quest to find out where they live and all about their habitat. Once I do, I’ll post a Blog and tell you what I discovered.
Post a Blog from your classroom and I’ll sign on and read it as soon as I can!
Your Traveling Pal,
Bart
